If you are looking for somewhere to stay
- 1
Search
Pick a town, region or province — and your dates if you have them. Filter by guests, price, property type and the things that actually matter here: backup power, a braai, secure parking, walking distance to the beach.
- 2
Check the real price
Open a listing and you see the whole cost for your dates: the nightly rate for those specific nights, the cleaning fee and any extra-guest charge. Nothing appears later that was not there at the start.
- 3
Hold your dates
Pay the deposit through PayFast. Your dates are held from the moment you start, so nobody can book them out from under you while you are typing in your card details.
- 4
Settle and go
We email your confirmation with the address and directions. If there is a balance, we send a payment link before check-in. Then the only thing left is packing.
If you own a place
- 1
Create your listing
Register, add your place, upload photos and set your rates and house rules. It takes about twenty minutes and you can save and come back to it.
- 2
We check it
Someone reads every listing before it goes live — usually within a working day. If something needs changing we tell you exactly what, rather than rejecting it silently.
- 3
Manage your calendar
Block dates you are using yourself, set peak-season rates and minimum stays, and link your Airbnb or Booking.com calendar so you are never double-booked.
- 4
Get paid
Guests pay SAVG. A couple of days after each check-out the booking becomes payable, and we pay you by EFT with a statement showing exactly how the amount was worked out.
What SAVG charges
Guests pay nothing extra. The price you see is the price you pay — nightly rate, cleaning fee and any extra-guest charge, all shown before you commit. There is no booking fee bolted on at checkout.
Owners list for free. SAVG takes a commission on the accommodation portion of a confirmed booking, deducted from the payout. The cleaning fee is not part of that calculation — it is your cost, and it comes to you in full.
